Our Physiotherapy Department includes specialists who work together to provide a comprehensive rehabilitative care for patients who suffer impairments, functional limitations and disabilities. The center places a great emphasis on individuality when developing the treatment plan. It starts treatment by running a thorough evaluation to identify the problem and building a well-organized plan for a certain amount of time. Patients are expected to cooperate and follow through with the help and constant supervision of a specialist.

Our physiotherapists are well qualified and can handle multidisciplinary cases. physiotherapy treatments are individually tailored to the patient needs.

  1. Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

  2. From minor back pain to major orthopaedic surgeries, we'll help you get back to doing things you love. Physiotherapist can also help you prevent further injury by listening to your needs and working with you to plan the most appropriate treatment for your condition, including setting goals & treatment outcomes.     Musculoskeletal rehabilitation includes:

    • Joint based manual and manipulative therapy (certified in Mulligan manual therapy)

  4. A comprehensive examinations, recommendations for a plan of exercise and/or physical therapy services that best suits your needs and goals, follow-up visits and individualized treatment are the services we offer. Conditions we treat include:

    Treatment program includes:

    • In-depth evaluation of functional abilities, including movement patterns, strength, flexibility, balance, and tone

    • Proven therapeutic interventions, including exercise, splinting, bracing, compensatory techniques, gait training, neurological re-education of movement and tasks

    • Goal setting to foster greater independence at home and in the community

    • Training to teach family members how to assist with specific therapeutic activities during hospital treatment and after discharge

  13. Vestibular Balance Rehabilitation &Lymphedema treatment-
  14. Vestibular rehabilitation aims to reduce the sensation of dizziness and improve balance. A full assessment is completed to establish the cause of the symptoms, and then a range of treatment/management strategies are suggested. These include balance retraining, education and relaxation techniques. Exercises to encourage adaptation in the vestibular system are also included.

  15. HYDROTHERAPY IN KHUH-
  16. The Physiotherapy department has a unique hydrotherapy program. Hydrotherapy uses the buoyancy, warmth, and effect of water turbulence to speed recovery after surgery, reduce pain, stress, spasms, and discomfort. Hydrotherapy is particularly beneficial for sport-injuries and chronic diseases like arthritis.


    The Physical Therapy department boasts a state-of-the-art pool equipped with a modern hoist for disabled patients, and a viewing glass to monitor patient progress. 


    Benefits of Hydrotherapy-

    • Reduce or eliminate pain.

    • Provide substantial relief from chronic pain.

    • Reduce edema (hydrostatic pressure of water is always present).

    • Eliminate or reduce stress on weight-bearing joints and the spine through a reduction of jerking or jolting.

    • Increase relaxation responses through the warmth of the water.

    • Increase blood flow to immersed muscles.

    • Improve posture and body mechanics.

    • Increase the Range of Motion of joints (increase of up to 30% with water immersion so joint mobility is greater than on land).

    • Improve muscle strength, tone, balance, proprioception, and co-ordination through the variable of water resistance.

The Physiotherapy department also boasts impressive gyms and personalized private treatment rooms fitted with the most modern, up to date equipment.

Treatment on an inpatient basis is provided two to three times daily on all wards of the hospital and provision of continuity of care on an outpatient basis is also facilitated through the following outpatient clinics – sports medicine, pediatrics, and multidisciplinary neuromuscular and spine.
